A
perfect addition to your Fuzzi Bunz diapers are these inserts.
Our inserts are made made from soft, organic hemp (55%) and cotton
(45%) blends. These are a great combo to use with the microterry
insert already included with your diaper, or on its own. Unlike
the microterry insert, our inserts are contoured to fit snugly inside
your diaper for maximum absorbency and comfort. Price: $4.00/ea Click

The Benefits of Using Cloth
Health: A harmful chemical called Sodium Polyacrylate
used for absorbency in disposable diapers has been linked to toxic
shock syndrome. Another chemical, Dioxin, used in bleaching paper
in disposable diapers has been linked to causing cancer. Diaper
rash and allergic reactions are much more common when using disposables.
What would you rather your baby be sitting in: chemical filled plastic
or soft, "breathable" cotton?
Environment: Cloth diapers are reusable, even
through a few children! They also make great cleaning rags once
they are no longer usable for diapers. On average a baby goes
through anywhere between 6,000 and 8,000 diaper changes in its
time from birth to potty training. Imagine how many babies are
in the world and how many diapers are going into our landfills!
Money Savings: The start up costs for using
cloth diapers may seem like a little more, but even with the costs
of washing and drying you still save money! The complete cost
of disposable diapers during the diapering period may be as much
as $2,359 for name brand diapers! Using Fuzzi Bunz diapering
system can save you over $1,500! You can also save even
more by line drying your diapers. Think about how many ways you
can better use that money for things your child needs!
How Many Diapers and Inserts Will I Need?
Newborns go through 10-12 diaper changes per day and slowly decrease
to 3-6 changes per day with age. We recommend having 1-2 inserts
for each diaper cover; 1-2 inserts during the day and 2 at night
for extra absorbency. 2 dozen small, 1 dozen medium, and 1 dozen
large is recommended. Fuzzi Bunz have terrific resale value, so
use them as needed and sell them to afford the next size!
Isn't Cloth
Diapering More Difficult and Messy?
The answer is no! Cloth diapering systems have come a long way
from "rags" with pins! The system we're promoting is
one of the easiest and most effective systems to use. Simply place
the insert inside the pouch on the diaper and snap the diaper
on your baby! Of course, I cannot say that it is not messy, but
what diaper isn't? For washing, simply take the diaper off, scrape
the "dirties" into the toilet, take out the insert and
throw both pieces into the diaper pail until laundry day. These
diapers are stain resistant to even the worst "dirties".
We suggest lining your diaper pail with a bag that is easy to
pick up and wash directly with the diapers. To help with diaper
pail odor, use perfume samples from department stores or try placing
a few pieces of charcoal in the bottom of the pail.
What About
Leaks?
Buying quality diapers is a key to prevent leaking. The diaper
system we are promoting, Fuzzi Bunz, works very well because each
diaper has several different snap positions around the waist and
legs to make a tighter or looser fit on your baby. However, if
leaking does occur, you may have the wrong diaper size or your
insert is not spread fully to cover the inside of the diaper.
At night, since your baby will be wearing the diaper longer, two
inserts may be added for extra absorbency. |
